Dreamcatcher
One of the most interesting traditional Indian objects, the dreamcatcher, has the role of chasing away bad dreams. It is usually made of lightweight materials and it's decorated with feathers and beads. Since I had almost everything I needed, I began creating my own dreamcatcher.
Materials I used:
- corrugated cardboard 5mm
- jute string
- feathers
- sand beads
- green sewing thread
The first step was to cut out the circles from the cartboard. After that I wrapped around them some thin jute string and weaved the green thread pattern along the edges of the three circles. The last step was to add the finishing touches: some black sand beads and real feathers.
This is the final result. Not bad for my first try.
