felt owl

A few years ago, when I was still in college, I wanted to give a friend a handmade gift, something unique.

After doing a little internet research for inspiration, I chose to do a colourful owl pin.

I used: 

- light blue, gray and dark blue felt

- light blue and blue cotton yarn

- metal pin

I started by cutting out parts of the owl: body, wings and beak. Then I aligned them carefully and sewed them togehter. I also sewed the metal pin on the back of the owl and it was ready! 

Below you can see the final result. This was a really long time ago...about 5 years, if I remember well. :D
